if it is made of wood afterwards cut it so that it is flush with the wall after just tile as if it be part of a wall nought special
just form sure that the tiles that are flat have a slight slope away from the windowpane so that any water will run stale and not go to the pane
Make sure you use a water proof substrate and also use a tile that is to say as large as looks well brought-up to keep down the grout joint. Seal all grout joint and keep them hermetically sealed every year
