What type of Glass Cutter is needed to cut at lowest possible 2 inches of chalice?
Answers: If the glass is a table you won't be capable of cut it. Once the glass have been temper you can't cut it. If it's that thick it could be laminated which is difficult to cut. My direction would be to take the chalice to a glass shop.
No offense expected but I so desperately want to assume you aren't speaking of THICKNESS of the glass at 2 inches
Again, next to no offense, window pane, at smaller number than 1/8 thick probably, have no relationship to glass to be precise appropriate for a table top, in composition or solidity.
You cannot strictly CUT tempered chalice, and certainly fanlight pane glass should not be used for a table top.
There are probably multiple ways to score/snap glass pane, even with a simple mitt held device, not much different in size to a fingernail database. IF in reality you need to drain a PANE of glass by 2 inches, and in need at all knowing the total size, a straight lip, securely clamped at your breadth, plus the blade in the tool, next scoring, then snapping against a raise, equally straight edge can accomplish the mission.
Water jet is more practical for thicker cup.
