Which is the best combi boilers for a house?
Answers:
Valliant are one of the best combi boilers on the market. If you are in England you will have to look at condensing boilers due to new efficiency regs. This is not a bad thing since the price of gas has shot up a good band 'A' condenser will save you money.
The down side with Valliant is that they are expensive, but they are top of the range, you should look at an Valliant Ecomax. If installed correctly this should be an outstanding boiler.
For a good mid-range boiler go for Worcester Bosch, these are my prefered boiler as I fit them all the time and never get any problems. Have a look at their Greenstar range.
When selecting a combi have a look at the KW rating, they usually go from 24KW to 28KW to 30/35KW the difference is that the higher the KW output the better flowrate you get from the hot tap and the more rads you can heat, but it's primarily for flowrate.
For an average sized house with two bathrooms a 28KW boiler should do the trick for anything larger you'd have to step up to 30/35KW. The 24KW boilers are really only good for small houses and flats
Hope that helps you out some...
Oh and the electricity generating boiler (microgeneration) is ok but wont generate enough power to sell back to the grid, will only cut your leccy bill a bit. So don't be thinking you can power the street using it, in reality it might do your tv and a couple of lights.
Other answers:
Get one of those that recycle the wasted heat and turns it into electricity ... that you sell back to the national grid.
