Can anyone tell me what to do with the spare earth? I am building a pond, should I dig a hole and bury it?

Put an ad in the paper for dirt free for pickup..

I am paying for composted black dirt about $6.00/yard deliver to backfill and landscaping for my house and garage.
HE HE HE...well then you would have another pile of dirt. Use the soil to build a levee around your pond. Then you can plant flowers, etc. on the levee.
LOL!! Instead of having a fish pond why not have a worm pond and fill it with earth problem solved!
Use it to build some landscaping around the pond or home.
Maybe some small hills of fresh top soil for better plant growth, helps makes it more natural looking as a man made pond.

third, take long walks with then family or friends or both
fourth, empty the soil as you and your family or friends walk along

speak to an electrician any thing that goes near water should be earthed or double insulated other wise your pond could become live and you and anything in it will get electrocuted. if you dont know what your doing then get professional advice it is better to be safe than sorry. (dead) or spread it round the garden or flower beds depends on type of earth ie soil/dirt or wiring
