Go to the home depot site and look under remodels and repairs, electrical. It should show you. I could explain. if you want. Cut the electricity off. Screw your metal box into the wall. Pull your wire through. Connect red to red and black to black, Then slide you little plastic out let in to the box. The cover and screw it in and your done. Cut the electricity back on. If you blow the circuit you did it wrong. Not really. Oh and by the way I am a lady and Do alot of my own repairs.

You can tap the power from the light switch input, if it has both live and neutral (black & white). Switch off the power and join the new pair of plug-socket wiring (white to white & black to black) to them and insulate the joints. Power output socket can be obtained from 'HomeDepot' or any electric store.

Pay a licensed electrician
No you cant connect off the light switch becuase depending where your from a lighting circuit has a lower current rating than a power circuit. You have to parrallel off an existing power outlet or come directly from your switchboard. You'll end up frying yourself so get an electrician in.
