What do you call for to lay laminate flooring?
Which toold do you need?
I've hear you need edging to shift along the skirting board, and also something to go over the doorways.
Also what roughly speaking the underlay. Can we use the underlie thats already down? (it was below the carpet?)
Answers: the underlie is different it is a foam underlay i.e. easy to put down - roll it out, cut it and thats you.
to cut the boards, an electric jigsaw is reccomended, or you can use an appropriate saw if you have a feeling like getting your hand dirty.
ask in a hardware shop for their warning on which saw to use if you cant lay your hands on a jigsaw.
a small sledge hammer to knock the pieces into place is a good conception too, but this can damage the edges (especially if its click flooring, where on earth the boards click into each other). To prevent this, use a piece of board you hold cut, click it into the flooring and knock it in near that. that way the crumb piece gets shabby and it doesnt matter.
the edging that go around it covers the gaps at the edges and give it a more professional looking finish.
it really isnt too difficult, but id grasp someone who has done it in the past to help you your first time so you dont ruin it and furnish advice. oodles big hardware shops like B&Q submit demonstrations on how to do it, its worth doing your homework as it can be down for a long time and you will want it to look good!
a circular saw, measure tape, bandaids, bonding agent, sanity. you can usually freshly set the flooring down as is. but some come with shush walk. simply make sure the floor is height
