Homemade soap?

I tried to make homemade soap, but after a week of sitting surrounded by a mold it is still not to the point where it is firm plenty to cut it. Could this be caused by too much heavy or lye? Can I reclaim it to ajust it? Or should I just trash it and start from gash again?

Too much liquid. It will dry eventually or you can chunk it and start over. I love making soap.
You own way too much time on your hand. Why don't you buy soap and take adjectives that extra time and volunteer at a hospital.
