Can you get an old fridge cold again?

By the way, this yahoo answer thing is great. Big help. Anyway, got an old fridge left at my new home by the previous owner (converted to kegerator). I plug it in and it comes on, air flows, and light on. Left it on for about an hour & a half but it doesnt seem to be getting cold. Can the referigerant (i'm guessing the name here) be added to it to make it cold again or am i out of luck?

Answers:
check the coils on the back take your shopvac and vacume them or take compressed air from an air compressor and blow off the motor

Other answers:
Call a local refridgerator repair shop and ask if it is worth your time to try..if so, you would need new freon.

try turning the temperture gage in the fridge down. As it might be up to high which could be stopping it from getting cold. Or you could call a local refridgerator repair shop and ask if it is worth your time to trying to fix it or it might be just cheaper to buy a new one. GOOD LUCK.
Refrigerant (freon) normally cannot be added to refrigerators. They don't have a valve to hook up to. Its called a closed system.
A good AC person could tap it and ad freon, but it may cost more than its worth.

Try a swift kick. No kidding. Sometimes the fan on the bottom needs this kind of encouragement.
