Best pool filtration system?
thnaks!
Answers:
Chlorine isn't a filtering system. It is a sanitizer. You will have to use it or Bacquicil.
Chlorine is better & cheaper.
For a filtering system a sand filter is your best bet.

Norm is correct. You use the Chlorine (Look like a big pill)to kill germs and reduce Algae Buildup. We had a simple Sand filter that worked well.

You have confused two different things here. Filtration and sanitization are different horses. From the tenor of your question I'm assuming you are asking about chemical sanitizers. That is what chlorine does. For an above ground pool the BEST system that I found is a product called Pristine Blue. It is far and away the simplest and most effective thing I EVER found. (In fact, I use it myself!). Check them out at www.pristineblue.com. And NO, I don't work for them. I'm retired. But I spent 35 years in the pool industry, so I've tried lots of chlorine alternatives. This one is best. Period. (By the way, while I was testing the product on a display pool I put a Koi fish in the pool. It didn't kill him!) So it is gentle for the kids to be in it.
Our pool is easy to maintain we use a pleated filter instead of sand works great
no chlorine floating around either we use the Frog System it has a mineral reservoir and cartridge works great no red eye or faded clothes
