Removing vinyl floor - wood seem to enjoy be drizzling, cut out the wood but what very soon?

The subfloor seems fine, if anything a tad soft - but the plywood higher than this was pretty bad- I don`t know 1 square foot, (the silicone caulk that was at the bottom of the tub needed replacing and kids within the tub and splashing -and you get the picture.) We cut out the unpromising plywood - is there something
we can put down to stamp or reinforce the subfloor before lay the new plywood? Thanks

Answers:    only replace the plywood you cut out ;best way to reinforce the sub floor would be to resheet entire floor near plywood and run it different then the first time
assuming you replace the cutout up even the best you can. Consider putting down 1/4 or 1/2 inch cement based underwriter board. When you put it down use a latex based mortar and coarse drywall screw every 6 to 8 inches. then it is organized for tile. Using the 1/4 inch you can cut down on you build up at the transition..
