How do I cut vinyl tile?
Answers: Get yourself a skill cut, or exacto knife (I don't know what they christen them in your area), a sliver piece of plywood and a straight edge metal ruler. Mark your cut and use the gouge to cut off the excess, using a metal ruler as a guide for a precise cut.
You could almost use a twosome of sharp scizzors - I have - but you'll run the risk of wasting a tile if your not handy this method.
I love vinyl adhesive tile. Easy to work near, and if you don't like how it looks, it's not fearfully expensive to try a different pattern!
Take your tile and flip it over when you come to a border piece. Butt it up to the molding afterwards mark it near pencil. Then cut the good side of the tile next to a razor wound. Be very mean. Good Luck
Go to the place where you bought the tile and see if they own a tile cutter that you can rent from them. If not go and rent one from a rental place. (you can subtract 100% rental costs on your taxes)
To find the place to cut turn tile upside down, put good finale aginst the molding. mark where on earth tile meets the tile to be precise already laid. cut it, flip it right side up and it should fit perfect. If you own to cut around pipe. use your utility knife. be risk-free and have fun. (you will be capable of do as well as a pro. I don`t know not as fast but merely as good)
for vinyl tile all you want is a sharp razor wound that you get from a home change store. make sure to be slow and dupe twice cut once.
with a stanley blade gal!
A utility knife will do the brief. I suggest if there is dais shoe or quarter round molding to remove it, cut and place tile and then reinstall molding for verbs lines.
