Caravan pane seal?

Can anybody give me some belief of what is the best sealant to use around caravan window rubbers, to reseal the windowpane. I have be told to use a clear silcone, is there any brand which someone could recommend or basically to use a standard tube from the local hardware store.

Answers:    Certainly Brand Names are often a personal nouns, usually derived from experience, but in the winding up are much like ones fave color.

The issue is/should be more closely tied to formulations for exteriors, Life time disclaimers, and %100 Silicone.

It's fairly possible you can find and use, a $2 tube, that will be as effective as a $6 tube.

Very honestly, and near no offense meant, the motivation I came surrounded by here was because I so delight in the word "Caravan" in describing the vehicle. TY.

merely my two "sense"
My dad used to repair caravans and say that the worst thing to use is silicone as it is especially hard to remove following on. He used something called mastick (?) it be a thick cloudy product which didn't completely dry out hard, but be easy to remove when needed.
