I am simply in the region of to cut a grey electric head which runs to a socket upstairs and nowhere else,?

then unify it in a crossroads box with another organize coming out for another socket (nope, i don't really know what i'm doing and if you never see me online again you'll know why....)
Am I joining a spur to a spur here? and is that alright?

Answers:    NO in the u.k you are single allowed one spur per socket, fed bad of a ring main! however if you enjoy radial socket circuits that this would be ok

IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO NOT CONNECT MORE THAT ONE SPUR TO THE RING MAIN AS YOU CAN EASILY OVERLOAD THE CABLE AND CAUSE A FIRE

INFO

RING CIRCUIT is where a cable runs from the fuse(m.c.b) to first socket next on to all the other socket consequently back to the fuse again (so the fuse will enjoy 2 red or brown cables coming out of the fuse) it and will probable be rate at a 32A

RADIAL SOCKETS this is where a single cable come from the fuse and runs to the first socket after on to the second (these will usually be rated at 20A)

If your not sure what your doing contact a electrical if you done the easier said than done work of putting the socket in and get the floor board up it will be a easy work so not cost much !

don't just look surrounded by the yellow page choose a registered electrician then if any entry goes wrong your covered ! if your contained by the u.k there are two biggest trade body's the Electrical Contractors Association (E.C.A) www.eca.co.uk and The national Inspection Council For Electrical Installation Contractors (N.I.C.E.I.C) visit www.niceic.org.uk a few quid for a electrician is cheaper than a current house!
If you don't know what you are doing, then don't do it.. Your energy is worth more than a socket extension.
I hope you're wearing your thick rubber gloves and your hand are dry.
If you're still around, let us know what happen!!!!
By all funds if you do not have a clue what to do when working next to electrical hire a professional. Cheaper than burning your house down in the finale or electricuting yourself.
as long as you flick the switch in your fuse box for your sockets and isolate the electricity first you should be fine.
don't forget to touch the ends beside your tongue to see if it is live.

No really don't do it.
There are regulations regarding electrical connections, I enjoy been taking a nouns from cables for heat systems for years, but regulations now connote we can't do that without have the part p of the building regs, give up your job well alone if you don't know what your doing.
Get some one who know what they are doing
run on,do it and give us a laugh(only kid, r u really that daft?)
A spur joined to a spur is not just right . As other people hold said it can overload the cable & cause it to overheat, probably in extreme circumstances rationale a fire.

Also in the UK presently you are no longer allowed to do any re-wiring yourself without it mortal checked & signed off by a qualified electrician (unless you are a qualified electrician that is to say!). The law changed some time contained by the last two years.

If you do complete the work yourself, draw from someone to check it!
BOOM! Only joking, listen to Andy F, he know what he is talking more or less.
No wounder we hed a powercut ha ha whats that cats name i want to stroke that cat
Oh sandtwixtoes - that's no road to sort your mortgate out! Don't mess with electrics unless you know what you are doing!(Unless your ex is on the other expire!!!)
