Ceiling aficionado install no box, minister to?

Took old ceiling enthusiast down today and looking to install new one. There be no junction box surrounded by ceiling, just the wires sticking out of drywall and matured ceiling fan bracket be mounted to ceiling joist. 2 questions: Do I have need of a box and I found that they sell the boxes next to the braces or the boxes that nail and screw to joist, which one is better to use? The mounting location is directly subsequent to joist. Thanks!

Answers:    Most codes/insurance companies require an electrical junction box.

Check your local home promotion store for a combination ceiling fan mounting bracket/electrical intersection box. There are several different models - some for direct joist mounting, others for mounting between joists.

I'd to some extent use one of these units than
mounting a ceiling supporter bracket/hook directly to a joist.

Hope this helps...
Junction box would be better and later you can secure it to the joist once connected. Will provide a undisruptive secure nouns
