I'm looking to purchase an inexpensive residential table saw. I went to Lowe's and looked at various models. They have a TASK FORCE 13-amp 10" for $78, but they also have one that is 15 amp by the same brand name for $129 and much sturdier and larger sweep, which is the one I am interested in. Who makes TASK FORCE tools?

It's not a brand that Lowe's includes in it's slogan
"Brand names you know and trust" which may well indicate it's either Chinese (PRC) or Eastern European. Here in Europe the market is flooded with cheap brands which are OK for occasional use but don't last long if you're a regular DIYer.
I've had a DeWalt saw bench for 16 years and it's still going strong. As they say "you get what you pay for"
btw I busted a cheap power drill last week when I hit a nail. It stripped the gears. It cost 20$ if remember and lasted six months. I bought a Bosch today for 60$ .
