Answers:    First of adjectives, I recommend you get a professional to come out and determine to what extent you hold water infiltration and WHY. Once you hold determined where and when the wet is coming in, you can afterwards began address it. I have have 3 houses with basements, adjectives have have problems with hose in them. All be concrete, with no other flooring. 1st house be simply a matter of OCCASIONAL hose down infiltration when the rainy season cam and a simple concern to find the low spot and install a sump pump and set it to auto. 2nd house, same low water table, beside a sump pump already installed, but it kept filtering rear legs into the basement, as the hose down was person discharged right back outside, where on earth it came right rear legs in against the house. I installed some drainage pip to the outside, out to the street, and afterwards covered it (except the opening) and that "cured" the problem, with the sump pump adjectives and discharging it kept the basement relatively dry. 3rd house, I replaced the VERY ANCIENT GALVANIZED gutters near new ones, some simple grade and a repair to the outside faucet which dripped enough to cause it puddle inside the basement. If you own the basement as living space, please be aware, that things will mold VERY hastily, flooring, rugs, furniture and so on. In my basements, I kept nothing until the wet problem was solved. Mold can confidently become an issue and I garantee, your health is not worth pinching pennies. But if you are somewhat bit handy, you can solve a lot of river intrusion problems yourself with a touch thought and some elbow grease. But don't GUESS, get to the bottom of WHY and HOW the hose is getting it and then address it! The individual work that had to be rewarded for and wasn't done by me, was the gutters, it be worth EVERY penny for the siding and gutter guy to get on the stepladder every day and remove the antediluvian gutters and replace it with nice unsullied ones that shuttle the rain river to underground pipes that run to the back of the ridge and down to the creek. The faucet be an easy fix (I replaced a washer within the hose!). The sump pump hosing and digging......well.....that be work, but I did it and I am an old woman!
insurance doesn't like do it yourselfers. mold, wood rot, they'll enunciate it would have be preventable if you'd gotten a professional involved, or they'll want to see paperwork.

do this yourself: call a professional.
own someone come to check the foundation. you may need to grasp it waterproofed or there may be cracks. ill-fatedly this can be an expensive job.

find a shop vac in the meantime to suck up the hose in a hurry.
You describe a adjectives condition with a adjectives dillema. The dillema being smaller quantity than humanly tolerable. You can choose to stay and fight it,but, the collide will eventually disable you. Get away while you have your youth. Anything smaller amount is death assured. Wet basements insure a long and protracted passing to all who ply the idea that this condition can be overcome-or overlooked. Run to the desert, and start off anew. Somewhere in lies the stability you so wish to profilgate.
