I am interested in making an old patio dinner table a mosaic, I need help!!?

It's a wooden bench, one of those that you find in any park.

My hubby brought home a wooden something or other-looked kinda like a night stand. Too ugly for the house but perfect for the porch with a plant on it. So to water proof it I got tiles and busted them up. Got grout(black) and the stuff to stick the tiles down. I laid out a pattern I liked then followed directions on mixing the stuff for the tile. I just smeared it right on the wood top and stuck the tiles in it. When it dried I grouted it-let it dry- then wiped off excess with damp sponge. Turned out so cute. Just follow directions on the packages. I'm ready to tile something else now.

A mosaic, as in tile??? You will have to overlay the wood with a tile board, for wood will contract and expand..tile cannot sit on that and hold up. Use thin set and cut/broken tile arranged in whatever pattern you want. Good luck
