How do you create a non-skid surface on baby booties?
Answers:
Use fabric paint to make squiggle marks on the bottoms. (But think first- will the child still be wearing booties when he/she is old enough to walk?)
Other answers:
use velcro for walking on carpet. BUT, better reinforce the ancles.
Actually, be careful with whatever suggestion you get.
Remember this kid is gonna have its toes in its mouth half of the time. Make sure parts of whatever don't come OFF for him/her to swallow.

There's a shelf liner that won't slide. I think it's made by 3M. It's availble at costco and most home centers and hardware stores. I comes in rolls and in different colors. It will be perfect for this. Should cut and sew real easy. I use it for all sorts of things. It's quite durable. Wish I had the exact brand/description for you.
'nuff said.
I think there are iron on little non skid things you could buy at a craft store such as Hobby Lobby. Just don't let the iron get too hot!
p.s. Isn't it funny that so far it has been all dudes answering this question?
Try using a glue gun. Just glue little dots on the bottom. That should do the trick!
You can use Silicone caulk, the stuff you use to seal your tub. Really no joke. Here is what you do.
1. Pick up a tube of silicone I from your local hardware store or department store. You can get it in plastic tubes for a couple of dollars. It comes in a number of colors. White and clear to name a couple. Don't get the stuff that has a anti mold or fungal component.
2. Stuff your booty with a plastic bag full of whatever you have lying around.
3. Put silicone on the bottom of the booty. You can either cover the whole thing or put in on in dots. Push in lightly into the yarn.
4. Let dry.
Remove stuffing.
there is a product that you can put on crochet slippers, so it should work on yours. It is like a sole made out of a leather like material, it is found in catalogs that sell craft products and where I live at AC Moore.
