above ground pool, can i install fiberglass on the bottom of pool to make it a smoother surface?

Answers:
absolutly not, but you can do this : take down your pool[i know, what a pain] and put 6 inches of "virmiculite" on the ground[put it over a plastic sheet so roots and rocks wont work their way up] re-install your pool... you will LOVE it and it will last for years ...you can get vermiculite at a garden supply center.
it will feel so goood you'll want to put vermiculite under the carpet in your living room ..lol

Sort of confused here. You want to fiberglass the bottom of the pool? Why not pull the liner, repair the ground underneath? You can even use foam under it to cushion it. But fiberglassing the liner? Think the solvents will dissolve the liner, anyway.

If you put fiberglass on the bottom of your pool liner the chemicals will eat through it bit if you drain the pool but first mark the outside of the pool area with some lumber stakes and then move the pool and get a ton of sand and level that out then reinstall your pull i think you will be very satisfied with it good luck
NO! Use a dense foam under the pool. But first, smooth out the ground.
