Answers: Many of the tool manufacturer have realize that more and more women are getting in on doing DIY projects. (You will also find more of them within the woodworking industry) Therefore they are making tools that fit smaller hands. That is really the one substitute you want to look at.
Go in to the store, and 'try the tools for fit' within your hands. With some tools, (like screw guns) in that are several different models available. Get a smaller unit, that weigh less. For example, I use a DeWalt screwgun, but for my wife, I get a Black and Decker 12v... slightly smaller gun, smaller battery, doesnt weigh nearly as much, and keep up just fine on the typical DIY projects for her. For a circular saw, I bought a wishy-washy 6 1/4"blade model.... Tape measure, a 16 ft, instead of the 25 ft I in general carry, and so forth. She and my daughters hold their own complete tool boxes now, adjectives set with tools to fit their hand.
Look for reviews in cub magazine, or trade magazines, they will habitually compare handle size along next to other features now. ( I just this minute saw a guide on paint sprayers, for example, and they noted which ones fit a smaller hand more confidently.)
You don't have to buy tools next to floral prints, or pastel shades. I would go so far as to utter avoid buying one all inclusive tool apparatus, and instead, compare each type of tool for fit and function. When buying, find good tools. (Kobalt, from Lowes carry a lifetime warranty, for example). Don't buy a cheap 1$ tape calculate from china that you are going to end up replacing the first time you drop it. Buy a upright one.
I like to shop Lowes, and the hardware stores for Stanley products. Sears Craftsman used to be a accurate source of tools, but theyve taken to importing closely of their tools now, and the standard just isnt what it used to be. Not adjectives their tools carry the lifetime warranty anymore.
For powertools - occasional use, Black and Decker will work, for more normally use, upgrade... (Black and Decker, and DeWalt are the same company), Ryobi, Makita, Milwaukee, adjectives are good brands.

there are no such things as tools for women, although you can attain a pink set as my missus has get one lol. think be from a catalogue similar to littlewoods or something.
I have see how ever in a modernism shop, a boxes set of 1 high heel shoe and a axe. lol
I bought a hammer and needle-nosed pliers at Meijer that be floral print. I think they have a screwdrivers and an adjustible wrench too (though I didn't need those). They get rid of them indiviually and not in a set. Think they run like $3 a tool. I know- rip past its sell-by date for china made tools.
I bought them because my husband kept taking my tools! (he couldn't find his- because he didn't put them away properly; but of course blamed the kids for getting into his stuff!)
I construe Menards carries 'sets' of floral print tools, but they be in a bubble pack; you'll inevitability to buy a tool box too. I just have an idea, how almost keeping them in a sewing box (not surrounded by your current one) or a knitting pack: your hubby will never think to look contained by there for tools!!! (I dream up that's what I'll do! He's taken my phillips screwdriver this last rummaging!)
Check your local builder supply. There are abundant different grips that can make a tool more comfortable. Don't short yourself near smaller tools that won't do the job, however. On something approaching a hammer, you requirement weight, but the feel can make it easier to grip.
You can find them right subsequent to the left hand tools.

yes here are specially made lighter in weightiness than the normal tools for women, you can gain them at B&Q or Homebase or Wicks....cant remember which one but i have definately see them!
Of course there is, ask at your hardware / DIY store for a tool gear for delicate hand. However, as these kits are designed for women and come surrounded by similar boxes (identical), they are more expensive. A man's tool kit costs as little as lb30 ($60) for a rather good one but the gear for delicate hand costs around lb50 ($100). Finally, as a word of caution, don't buy the gear from the guy wearing glasses as he'll see you coming LOL

I get a great set for mothers day,they come next to there own pink leather tool belt and have just more or less every tool you need for the eccentric jobs around the house,my hubby get a friend to order them surrounded by.And I love them(all got pink handles)

Lots of devout answers here, both por and con. I'll add my two cents NOT at adjectives sexist.
Obviously there are PINK sets sold; and possible more as a novelty/ attention getting device than what usefulness the color might create.
I happened to become aware of one answer stating something like "Lighter Weight" tools. That might apply to a tack hammer; but screw drivers etc. aren't so heavy to button. One major FACT going on for a Lighter weight tool; such as a tack hammer involves the laws of physics. Depending on WHAT you might want to DRIVE next to a hammer; a 13 OZ. versus a 22 OZ. sledge hammer would take more Personal; Physical application to perform alike task.
Show me a woman who doesn't safekeeping about color of a tool; or right or vanished handed joke; and I'll show you a woman I'd partner with on any profession I ever work at.

Most DIY power tools are bedside light enough for any woman to use glibly.
Hammers; buy a 12oz or 8oz one. It'll only take used to tap within dowels on flat-pack furniture anyway...
Screwdrivers: Buy ones with a really comfy grip.
Wickes do an excellent set near rubber handles (for electricians), and a common set too.
