What is causeing brown lesions on my Meyer Lemon tree leaves?
Answers:
I have a Meyer lemon and it is doing well in a pot out in full sun on the patio. There are a few blooms at present.
I am in Maryland. Probably not a fungal or bacterial disease in Michigan but you might try a complete fertilizer with micronutrients. I use Schultz.
The only time my Meyer lemon and "dwarf orange" showed similar spots was when I put them out immediately in the warm sun after being indoors for the winter. The leaves will scorch or sun burn until the new leaves become acclimated. Also, watering the foliage on hot weather such as we have now (99F currently on my patio) can "burn" the leaves particularly on new growth.
I hope this helps. Enjoy your lemon.

Because you used the word "lesion" makes me think it is scale. Scale is a barnacle like insect that sucks nutrients from the plant. Usually it is on the branches. But I have seen them on Citrus leaves too. See if you can scratch them off? If you can, it is scale. Go to your nursery and get an insecticide they recommend. If you get something toxic you won't be able to eat the fruit for awhile. You might try a horticultural oil. That smothers the bugs.
Good luck :-)
