how do you grow purslane inside?
Answers:
Purslane is one of the very best ornamentals for hot, bright, dry weather. It is not particularly well suited as a house plant, due to its light requirements. If you do grow it inside, give it a south facing window, only water when it's really dry and make sure there's some air circulation around it. In winter, you'll need to supplement the light with a full-spectrum lamp of some kind. I'd recommend a timer on this contraption, too, as too long a light period will also give you wimpy plants.
Other answers:
It grows freely in my garden. If I were going to try to grow it inside, I would put dirt from my garden into a pot, water it, put it in a sunny window, and weed out all non-purslane weeds.
Purslane likes sun - so I think it may have croaked for lack of light.

A 'weed' is anyting that grows where it is not wanted. I have grass that grows in my flower bed....thus grass becomes a weed.
Purslane is know for its ease of growth but it needs full sun. Lots of plants will sprout indoors and then die before maturity if not gradually exposed to more light.
