fertizing crepe myrtle trees?

When and what would be the best fertilizer for my crepe myrtle trees.

Answers:
High nitrogen fetilizer at 1 Lb per inch diameter. Keep in mind, this does not mean DUMP fet at base of tree, but use a spreader and get all around drip line.
You can fill a 33 gal trach can with water, add 3 lbs of Scotts Miracle Gro and use a soil drench.
