Any ideas on fixing the AC drain from not causing erosion & puddle in the side of my house?
Any ideas on what to do so it doesn't create such a muddy mess?
Answers:
I have to fix one at my Ex's house often. The AC unit needs to drain, and in her case it has a pvc pipe with a p trap that allows that. However, I also had to add an extension to aleviate a similar problem. It now drains into a flower bed adjacent to the house.
The other thing you might do, depending on what already exists at the drain point, against the house, is dig a place out, and add river rock, kind of like a drain field. It would stop the mud pit effect and might, if you wish it to, become a decorative accent, against the house.
In any event, DO NOT attempt to stop the drainage.
On another note: The ex has a pan in the garage adjacent to the ac that when it fills shuts off the ac and has to also be drained.

you can attach a plastic hose from the hardware store, they come in a variety of sizes. run it to the ground and stop the drip. OR
place a paver brick or stones in the area. slope away from the building.

attatch a hose to it so you can direct where the water goes.i had the same problem and directed the water flow to a flower bed.
