Where could I find some ideas for container gardens?

I have two half barrels that will be placed in a sunny area.

Answers:
Magazines, libraries, and junk shops. There are some really cool and cheap things out there for containers if you use your imagination. Be sure to know where your container will be placed before buying plants so you get the right ones for the lighting. Wave and Rave petunias are adorable in them and bloom profusely throughout the season, by the way!

You might try day lilies. I have some in barrels and some in boxes. They love full sunlight. You can check out some pics at www.screaltorgreg.com

Try Petunia Surfinia. They have masses of flowers and will trail down the side of the barrel. You can also put larger plants in the middle such as Daylillies.
The link below is a good site.
Depends on how serious you are. One of the best places to get magazines and books specializing in different garden themes is at your local home center, such as Lowes.
But I have found that trial and error works best. During your travels keep an eye open for what others have been doing, than add your own personal touch.
Remember, it not right or wrong in YOUR garden, its what you like in YOUR garden
