Growing tomatoes indoors?
Answers:
Tomatoes need 3 things....water, LOTS of sun and room for the roots to grow. They will quickly take over a bucket if you buy the wrong type of tomato and keep in mind that the bigger the pot/planter/bucket the bigger the plants will be.
A South facing window is best but the biggest problems growing tomatoes indoors is lack of bees for pollination. If you can get 2 of them growing together in close proximity, you might be ok with a fan for pollination. I work in a green-house and the seedlings will need heat, and warm dirt to help growth along. (We use tables heated with hot water by way of PVC pipes) Mist them instead of watering them if they are tiny. (you can sucessfully give enough water by misting with a water bottle if you are thoroughly wetting the soil.) That will help with "damping off" problems some people face. Put teh Miracly Grow for tomatoes in teh misting water and use it everytime you water for faster growth. Once the tomatoes are going well, back off on the miracle grow. It makes HUGE plants and not so many tomatoes. Add crushed (clean) and dry eggshells to the pottingsoil to help prevent bottom end rot on teh tomatoes from not enough calcium. Tomatoes are heavy feeders and require a lot of nutrients. If you need more help ask! I sucessfully grow cherry tomatoes indoors. The plants don't live forever either. I usually pick my last ones about Christmas.
If you have ANY WAY of getting the poor things someplace to sit outside, (rooftop maybe) they will be much better off even if it's only once in a while.

If you have a porch or balcony, you can plant it in a planter and place it there. Otherwise plant them in planters and keep them near a window where sunlight comes through.

You will need to place the plant under a grow light if you want it to grow tomatoes in the house.
Best grown in a planter at a sunny window. Keep moist and feed with a tomato feed solution to get the best results.
they will grow in doors if you do as the other writer said. Also when you water them use club soda i know that sounds weird but it puts hydrogen etc into the soil and it really works! i was a unbeliever until i saw my friend doing it and i had wondered why his plants looked so good. He said yes use it once a week and your plants will be healthy and grow faster. i tried and it really works.
I'd put them in a hanging basket outside a window. A window-box might do the trick, but it probably wouldn't be big enough. Good luck, fruit and vegetables always taste better when you've grown them yourself!
don't let them get too hot or too dry other than that they are vary forgiving just water as if they were a normal housplant "if you don't know how how thats done keep the soil moist but not wet."
You're trying to grow your own cannabis aren't you?
You should just admit it.
Beware of your flatmates - lock your door!
Tomatoes require full sun. You won't have much luck with them indoors. Sorry. But some plants are just "outside" plants.
