spray an insecticide containing acephate ( Orthene)
apply within late afternoon or rash evening when the moths and worms are most active.
These statute moths are night flying moths, hthey fly over the prairie in a zig zag guide. When the light brown to gray moth lands it folds its wing along the body.

Sprinkle wash detergent on these spots and hose it down. I have done this and it have worked for me.
You can go to Lowes or Home Depot and find the granule (there are a few different name brands) that hold quite a few insects out of your grassland. They usually treat the yard for 3 months...so we do ours seasonally, purely in suitcase.
