How far should I space seeds if I want to plant 24,000 seeds per acre in 38" rows?
Answers:
Got it wrong at first then caught it.. right answer is 6.6"
Acre= 660 feet by 66 feet
43,560 Squre feet
If you run your rows long ways you would have 20 rows
66 feet = 792 inches divided by 12 inches = (20.842)20 rows
24,000 seeds divided by 20 rows equals 1,200 seeds per row.
Long row is 660 feet or 7920 inches divided by 1,200 seeds is 6.6 inches

an educated guess here. 24000/acre is planting very thick. my guess is 4-5 inches apart.
are you planting corn?
240X240 is larger than 1 acre. an acre is a little over 43,000sq ft. im too lazy to look up exact # right now.
43,560 sq ft= 1 acre.
my newly revised educated guess is approx 6" spacing. this is very close.
