When is the best time to harvest lemon verbana?

Answers:
Anytime before it goes to seed. All the leafs will have the fragrance and flavor but the newest one are the more potent. If your plant starts to head out (bloom) You can prolong the season by keeping the blooms pinched off. You will have to keep this up because the plant will continue to try and head out. Just pinch every few days and harvest the leaves you want and can use. If you are wanting to harvest the entire plant go ahead and let it head out. Dry the plant upside down in a dry-cool place.
The leaves will not be as fragrant when dried, but as soon as you crush them it all returns. Once dried you can store them in a jar for about 6 month and keep the flavor.
Add some to any tea or by itself.also good in poultry dishes or as a rub for chicken BBQ
God Bless
