i hav a pear tree that has not bore fruit this yr and there are yellow patches on each leaf, any thoughts?

Answers:
How old is the tree and has it produced fruit in the past? Tiptoe has a great point... another thing may be that it needs some fertilizer. Some fruit producing trees will not produce fruit if they do not have enough nutrients/ energy to make the fruit.. They may produce a small amount of flowers and more leaves, but that may be it, because it doesn't have enough 'energy' to produce fruit.

Have you ever tested your soil or fertilized the tree? Try your local cooperative extension service too. They can give you some great tips!

You need to ask yourself What Would Jesus Do? And the answer is, any tree that does not bear fruit needs to be cut down and thrown into the eternal lake of fire!

My guess is that in the spring, the flower buds (or blossoms) froze. Without pear flowers you can't get pear fruit. Better luck next year!
