Does reward and sonar get rid of pond algae without harm to livestock and fish life?
Answers:
We put bails of "hay" {not straw} in the pond. Put them on the edge of the pond. Part of the bail must be above water. The chemical that is released from this kills the algae. At first my husband and I were doubtful. But it truely works. We've been doing it every year now.

There are restrictions in the Reward label as far as when livestock are able to drink from the water following an application. I would recommend that you read the label since it Will have all of the information you are looking for. There is a great deal of information about the product, usage, safety, etc. in the label that you should read before you apply any product. You can go directly to the manufacturers website and obtain a label (in a pdf format). I would highly recommend this since it is a violation of Federal law to use a product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. Also, I don't know that you can legally apply Sonar on your property. Again, I would insist that you consult the manufacturers label. Syngenta (my water softener broke and pumped water outside, 29 ft pine tree now losing needles turning brown- any help?
