I live in Western CO and need to update my yard. I have 0 design skill. Would like cheap good looking ideas?

Check the better homes and gardens web page. www.betterhomesandgardens.com. I do believe that's the url. At any rate they have wonderful plans and ideas there and will also tell you what plants are right for your area etc. There are many pictures of different landscapes etc.

Go to your local garden center. Not a mass merchandiser like WalMart or Home Depot. A consultation with a designer isn't very expensive, and worth it's weight in gold (or compost). Many garden centers will deduct the consultation fee from the cost of labor. If you just have them plant one tree for you, you'll recoup your funds.

Look for HGTV in your area. They have some real nice yard ideas. Or go to the liberary and check out a few books. Your sure to get a few ideas. Check the magazines out at your local supermarket... always have a few with good ideas too.
