what can i use to kill all the grass in my front yard and, then be able to replant in a couple of weeks?
Answers:
if you use round-up you won't be able to plant for 2 weeks. Just spray it with bleach during the hottest part of the day and watch it turn black and die in minutes. Once the chlorine evaporates in about an hour your ready to go planting. Make sure to wear your safety goggles, bleach burns the eyes as well as the grass. we used to use bleach all the time while active duty in the Marines.

Roger Cook the landscaper on this old house removes the grass, he doesn't kill it. there is a machine you can rent for that
Chlordane or Vapam. Might need a license to buy them, in your State however.
Just use Round Up. It kills everything and then goes away.
Read the labels to be sure.

if you don't want to poison your dirt then you can use boiling water it will take a while to keep boiling water but you wont poison anything and it will die
ORTHO kills everything just make sure you get the kind that will allow you seed in a few weeks there are differnt kinds, like kinds that kill and prevent regrowth for a year.... sooo just be careful k..
spread newspaper over the yard, soak it with water, then put planting dirt on top of the paper,, grass gone and it will decompose to giv u fertilizer
Roundup, or a product with similar ingredients will work. I don't know where you live, but based on my experience living in the mid-Atlantic states, now is not a good time to think about reseeding your lawn. Here, late August, mid-September is the best time. Check with your County Extension Service for the best advice, or a good lawn and garden store.
Roundup or any other glyphosphate product such as Glystar
Use a Roto-Tiller Rake it Out then Replant..If You Don't Own One then You'll have to Rent this.Don't Use Chemicals cause they'll kill the nutrients in the soil..
