Do Gladiola flowers multiply?

I'm new to gardening and want something easy to care for, which minimum effort and the most bang for your buck. I think Gladiola's are soo pretty... will they multiply &/or come back year after year like some wildflowers do? If not I would appreciate some expert advice on which flowers will. Also, I'm interested in hearing firsthand experience and feedback on mail - order flower companies such as Breck's, Michigan Bulb, etc. Thanks!

Answers:
yes they do multiply, i've been trying to get rid of some that are in my garden, for years! they ARE beautiful tho. keep in mind that they grow very big and they are heavy, so you will probably have to stake them up or they will start falling down :( as far as perennials are concerned(flowers that come back year after year), there are tons! daisies, black eyed susans, day lilies, gallardia, the list goes on forever. you need a perennial book to consider all the choices!

Oh my God yes they will multiply, they set off small bulbs by the hundreds, don't plant them in any area you intend to use as a garden, damn things will come up for years!

Yes, Gladiola's will multiply, so will Iris's they make beautiful background for gardens.
Hard to kill, they spread all over with baby bulbs.
yes..the bulb will multiply...depending on the growing zone you live in and the type of glad you might have to dig them up in the winter and store in a cool place such as a root cellar, crawl space under the house or basement

there are also hardy glads that dont need to be lifted in the winter and stored

as far as mail order companies i have orders from brecks and michigan bulb that will be in starting this week and all will be in by next week....i have no problems with their items plus michigan bulb will give you a life time guarantee... alot of mail order gardening places will usually have some kind of guarantee with their products
