My garden is surrounded by pine trees, how do I get rid of the high acid content in my garden soil?

Answers:
Lime is the correct answer. However, before you apply it, get a small soil PH test kit available at most lawn and garden centers. Test the soil that you are about to amend. Once you have that answer, consider what you want to plant in that location and determine what PH those plants prefer. Your soil test kit will have a chart to tell you the rate at which you should apply the lime in order to bring it to the optimal PH for those plants. Realize that you will need to do this on an annual basis.

Other answers:
Lime, put it down at a rate of 10lb per 1000 sqft
Lime, put it down at a rate of 10lb per 1000 sqft
You are going to have to add items to your soil that will lower the ph of your soil. Check with your local nursery.
