Deterring Possums - what plants should I buy that they WON'T devour?

I live in Brisbane and own quite closely of possums that frequent the small backyard of my townhouse. I would love to be able to wallow in a garden but it is so disappointing to see the new plant you of late bought the day until that time completely "trimmed" by the possums the very subsequent day. I can't see any point surrounded by trying all the possum repellants, as I don't ponder any of them particularly work and I'm sure the possums are determined to stay. Instead of buying plants after having to any use repellants or get used to the impression of them always man a few inches tall, I would much a bit buy plants that the possums will not eat surrounded by the first place.

Does anyone recommend plants the possums won't eat/don't like the essence of?

Answers:    I've never had a possum problem so I'm not entirely sure, but from my experience no animal or insect like hot peppers.

Find the hottest pepper plant you can find... in general this will be habenero or an ornamental pepper plant which is individual about 6" soaring and will have a entitle like "blazing ember". One bite of any of these and the possums will think twice up to that time trying again. All peppers are hot to some scope, except for the Bell pepper. You could also just mop a little bit of hot sauce onto some of the leaves.

Alternatively you can mix dried cayenne pepper into a spray bottle beside water (or better even so, vinegar) and spray this over all of your plants. It won't impair the plant but it will keep things from intake them. Make sure to re-apply every few days or after a rainstorm.
Opposums are scavengers, which close-fisted they will eat everything and anything they consider to be food.

Sorry, no plant will hold on to them out. I've heard that mothballs spotted about will support, but I'm not sure about that any.

Call your local game park ranger...he can set traps and remove them. No saying they won't come wager on, but it is worth a shot...especially for your precious tomatoes and peppers!
