how many feet can a neighbor dig a ditch to the next property line?

Try asking this at your local county courthouse, for the most accurate information. Good luck!

They can dig right up to the property line, its their land and you cant do anything unless it effects your property use.

u have to check local government in ur town. if in a sub division check with ur HOA or POA. if none apply u can go up to ur property line. just tell her to say back 6 " because u dont want any erosion problems down the road on ur side.
You are entitled to what is calld "Subjacent Support", meaning a neighbor cannot remove so much of his land as to cause yours to collapse. For example, if your land is solid rock, he could remove his right up to yours without causing yours to collapse. But if yours is loose sand, he likely wouldn't be able to remove any of his on the property line, as yours would collapse.
dderat is correct, but you should still check your local laws, in order to be sure you know the facts. If your neighbor violates the law, you will then be able to show her the law, to prove your point.
