I involve help out pruning my rose bush...I live contained by Wisconsin and it still have three roses on it, departed as you would expect, but

But I have no notion how to prune it for Winter. I didn't want to prune until the warm weather be gone. It looks like it's gone very soon, so do I prune it to the ground? Leave it alone? Help!

One of the worst things you can do to a rose is prune it in the crash. You will want to prune after all the cold weather is gone, around May. What you will want to do is, when you are sure the weather will not drop below freezing, is prune it into the green "living" piece the stem just above branch or fern. If you want the rose to grow to the right then prune it freshly above one growing to the right. Same thing if you want it to grow to departed or front or back, prune it simply above the direction you want it to grow.
What you want to do now is to insulate as munch of underpinning the rose as you can with a rose cone or leaves and burlap and wrap twine around the leaves and burlap.
