How do you kill a rose bush?
Answers:
buy chemical stump killer or a milder woody plant/shrub killer. I just saw the mild one at my local Ace last weekend. It said you can plant the area again in only one month. The stump killer I am using for a fig tree is awful, dangerous, and you can't plant for at least one full year. So I guess it just depends on how fast you want it out of there and when you want to replant the area. I wouldn't recommend using a weed killer. It may killer all your shoots this year, but may build stronger roots for next years growth. Good Luck

Down in Kentucky we use a 12 gauge with large shot, keeping the choke to a narrow spread. One or two shots does the trick. You can use a pistol or rifle, but get a scope, cause those roses can wave around in the breeze a bit and get hard to shoot. Sure beats pulling them up or any other method I know of. I've heard in West Virginia they use dynamite, but that seems a little harsh to me.
