how much water I give and what kind of soil should I plant my rose bushes in? the best time of year to plant?
Answers:
Plant roses in no less than 3-5 hours of sunlight. The planting hole should be 2 times a big as the box (box/wrapping that was around the root when purchased). Place a handful of bonemeal plus 1/3 cup compost. Cover the plant's roots & water well. Don't fertilize 1st month after planting. Water regularly every 2-3 weeks. Fertilize every every 5-6 weeks during the growing season, stopping fertilizing mid-August. The use of fish emulsion works wonders for rose bushes. Also, a handful of epsom salts applied every time when applying fertilizer is useful as well. Apply fertilizer/epsom salts directly on ground at base of plant. Avoid overhead watering (watering plant from top down). This helps to prevent diseases from developing. Plant rose bushes in well draining soil. Best to plant in the spring after all danger of frost is gone. Plant as soon as possible after purchase.

I'm in Florida and I planted my roses in the beginning of April. They need a lot of water, but not too much, I give mine about 1 quart everyday. The soil? I think we used regualr ground soil.

Soak them down real good, like rain does (don't wet the leaves it causes black spots)soil should be mirceal grow. Now would be the time to plant your roses bush. PS. put tea bags around your rose bushes they love acid. U can email at Njacobs7477@yahoo.com if have any mor questions.
