For a science project (One that's not due until next summer) I was going to attempt to interbreed two species of corn or tomatoes or something, thus producing a hybrid. Is this feasible, and if so, how could I go about doing it?
Answers:
You collect pollen from one variety of the plant and you dust the flowers (in the female stage or parts) of another variety of that plant with that pollen. When the flower dies, a seed or seeds will form, and this is the basis for the hybrid. You can do some species hybridization also.
