)There are two tree's I would like to get a starter from. A Ponderosa Pine and an Ash...?

Is there any way I can start a tree from these tree's? If so please tell me how.

Answers:
good answer above, but, the pine tree seeds can be tricky, lots of varieties need extreme heat to open the cone to release the seed.
Try putting cones into black plastic bag and hang in full sun for a few days, if it opens the seeds will be in the bag, I've seen growers "BBQ" cones, just heat the grill, set cones on rack and wait for them to open, some of the cone burns, have water nearby, and the extreme heat puts the seeds into the air with a spin.

The best way would be to acquire seeds. You would be able to start the ash tree from a cutting but I'm not so sure about the pine. You might be better off starting it from seed or finding a nursery which sells them.
