What do you do when someone pours antifreeze on your plants/lawn? Is the soil ok for replanting?
Answers:
First, you report it to the police.
Next, you should replace the soil. Dig up the contaminated dirt and refil with some cheap organic stuff like peat moss or something like that. Mix it in with the surrounding soil. Don't plant anything that you plan on eating in that area, ever. Grass and flowers are it.
Other answers:
I believe you report them to the police/EPA.
I believe you report them to the police/EPA.
I would shoot them ;-)
why did they do that?
i dont think so, i believe that if you replanted anything in that soil, it would die...or not even grow.
no.it would be wise to remove the dirt where the antifreeze spill
You need The A-team..
u need to dig out some dirt and resoil
the dirt might b ok but run water on it for over a hour so it can wash it down
but u should take pic an make them pay 4 everything Have a police report made
NO ANTIFREEZE IS THE WORST SUBSTANCE ANYONE COULD PUT INTO THE GROUND, YOU WOULD HAVE TO CHANGE ALL THE SOIL IN THAT AREA OR JUST FORGET ABOUT IT.
pave over it; you could always use more driveway, right? then, find their house, and dump antifreeze and gasoline on their lawn! Then ask them how they're gonna plant on their soil!
hehe
First tell them they are totally stupid! Then call a garden center and they will know. Remember, antifreeze is poison to animals so if you have them don't let them near it. They love the smell and taste so be careful.
antifreeze dissolves nicely in water, after a good rainstorm or a soaking it will be gone. Don't let animals lick it before then. If it's used antifreeze (i imagine) the biggest worry will be that it will have picked up some heavy metals etc. from the engine which might slightly contaminate your zucchini or whatever if you plant them there.
