Suggestions for some nice hardy plants for containers on a city stoop?

I would like to do one planting for the whole spring/summer season.

how about something a bit different? Lavender and rosemary are always over looked unless planting a herb garden. they would be fab in any garden. Hardy, Evergreen, Easy to look after, usefull in cooking, smell amazing and they flower! What more could you want!!

There are lots of possibliities. Wandering Jew works well in pots. Spider plants are nice too if you want hanging plants. If it is for floor containers, put in Daylilies. Check out some of the varities on my website.
