What can I do to get my trumpet vine to grow?

I work at a garden center and we have a trumpet vine on our property. Make sure it's in full sun and give it a slow release fertilizer like osmocote (not the acidic kind) in spring. Also, make sure the water drains properly in that area, trumpet vine doesn't tolerate wet feet. It's also not a bad idea to prune it back in fall.
