Hi,

I come from Australia where Callistemons are prolific
They come from the 'Myrtaceae' family and are very hardy
growers. The 'laevis' are just another variety of many which
mostly have the same care.

Callistemons like good drainage and the application of a slow-release low-phosphorus fertiliser in spring and autumn (fall)
and can be grown in full sun to partial sun and they especially like morning sun.

A little bit of mulch in winter is also good for them.

They will flower throughout the year and will bloom on and off.
We call them 'Bottle-brushes' as the flower resembles one.
