HELP!!

Answers:
I am glad to know you don't want to kill it. I see that many people on this site are KILL HAPPY people. Some of them may even want to kill you in heart beat. The descendant's of Cain.

Maybe the zoo would know how to get it to move on. Maybe they would take it and start a gopher village.

The only way to get rid of them is to kill them.... there is a product called "Mole-not" that works very well.
Haven't you seen Caddy Shack?
Go to Wal-Mart garden center and get the little Sunflower Whirl-winds. These send vibrations through the ground, confusing the gophers and so they get as far away as possible since this is how they get around (using vibrations).
Go to a Farm and Fleet, Andersons or other of that type of store (even some pet stores sell this) but they have preditor scent. Some of it comes in tubes that you push into the ground around your yard, and some of it is in a spray but it's basically supposed to smell like coyote urine (or other predator) and it will deter Mr. Gopher and family.
It's against the law to kill "Gofers" who buy you coffee and stuff and run other errands at work, but it's legal to kill "gophers" in the garden.
you should be able to go to the store and get some rat poison and put it out deacon it the best rat poison you can get
Get several wooden or metal stakes that are between two and three feet long. Pound them into the ground about ten to twelve inches. Tie a twelve inch length of string around the top of the stake. At the bottom end of the string, tie an empty aluminum pie pan to the string and let the wind bang the pie pan against the stake this should drive moles and other rodents out of your ground. I would suggest you put up at least a half a dozen of these about thirty feet apart.
you can get a bottle of this poison thats called gopher bait!its like a rat poison but its soaked into a grain so that the gophers will eat it! you can get it at tractor supply store,or and farm and feed store!
Moth Balls down their holes , Gofers and ground hogs will leave town. but you have to put it down each trail and hole you find. The chemicals really messes with there smell and they get out of Dodge. By the way grass likes it.
they arent the same thing...trust me,....i had a groundhog. they are both adorable little things though. i used the most unproffessional way to get rid of it, i made a line of tomatoes and other veggies and as it made its way out into the front yyard, i closed the fence abnd put tomatoes near a bush i have. i dont know how well it works, i guess i'll just suggest to you that you buy a live trap, put a food that gophers like and let him go in the country.
use a hemcrid cream which there are addicted to and then capture them and bring them to a local zoo
learn to live with them or hook a hose to your lawn mower muffler and insert it in the hole it might run it off or put it to a peaceful sleep.
put pinwheels in your yard when the wind blows it causes vibrations in the shaft of the pinwheel that the gopher can hear. It will leave the area within a couple of days . There are also live traps you can purchase too catch it with.
put up an sign that say "NO GOFERS ALLOWS", then teach the Gofers how to read!
I can't remember the name of the new product that just came out, but they say it repels them. You sprinkle in on the first 1//3 of your yard, wait a day, sprinkle it on the second 1/3 of the yard, wait a day and then sprinkle the last 1/3 of the yard. They say its a granule that they can't stand the smell of, but humans can and it makes them move and by doing it this way, they move completely out of your yard. It's supposed to be found in hardware stores and nursery's now. Sorry, i can't remember the name. Goffers are not ground hogs, gr. hogs are larger.
