Can I propagate Roses by seed?....how?
Answers:
Roses CAN be propogated by seed - but it takes a very long time to get to blooming size. You need to harvest the rose hips when they are fully ripe but before they dry on the stem - remove all pulp, allow seeds to dry. Some people recommend freezing and thawing a few times to help break the seed coat. You can also rub them with sandpaper or a nail file. Germination is spotty and can take a long time. Most seedlings will be weak and not worth keeping, but with luck and patience you may get a couple of good ones.
Unless you're really interesting in making your own crosses, you'd be better off propogating with cuttings.

Well roses are not grown by seed they are grown by a techique known as grafting which is cutting the half the stem and re-growing it. Roses require lot of moist soil and minimum 4 hours of sunshine. I hope this helps.
