How abundant lumen of lantern do plant necessitate???
Answers: Simple question but difficult to answer, too tons variables and unknowns. The first person get the plant part right. At one extreme you heterotrophic plants close to the Ghost Plant that require no light at adjectives, to some of the high alpine plants that won't grow at marine level within full sun without supplemental lumens. The second problem is a plants inability to use adjectives the wavelengths a bulb produces. Plants use the colors on either side of the spectrum for green, i.e. red, sickly on one side blue, violet on the other. So if your bulb is green, it make little difference if it's 10 or 10,000 lumens. Another example would be mercury vapor which is rich in blues and poor within red, yellow. Believe it or not some of the best info on the subject comes from indoor pot growers, only just Google 'pot cultivation'. Now before someone reports me for relating someone how to do something illegal, Yahoo recognize pot is legal contained by some places this forum serves, so they always present my points back. RScott
It depends on the plant. What group is it?
