after aerating lawn how do I overseed, do I rake up plugs?
Answers:
Just sow over the grass w/a seeder. DO NOT rake the plugs. These will disappear after a couple rains. This "breakdown" of the plugs is part of the process. No need to straw as the existing grass will give adequate cover.

SPREADERS CAN BE RENTED AND AN EVEN SPREAD OF SEED IS BEST
HAND SPREADER IS GOOD FOR FUTURE USE FOR FERTILIZER LATER
HOLD ON TO THE PLUGS FOR MULCH FOR THE NEW SEED TO HAVE
THEN KEEP THE BIRDS OUT BY LAYIN SOME STRAW DOWN TO COVER

no do not rake up plugs. you should take a dethacher over lawn 2 different directions, then rake up the thach. then you spread the seed, then you use rake and walk up and down lawn draging rake.
